Before a specialist appointment

A few things can make the discussion more useful

You do not need to arrive with every answer. Bringing the information you already have can help the specialist understand what has happened so far.

Bring the story of your care, not just one report.

Blood tests and scans are important, but so are previous treatment decisions, medicines, symptoms and how your condition has changed over time.

Recent reports Blood tests, scan reports, pathology and discharge summaries.
Scan images CT, MRI or other imaging if available, not only the written report.
Medicine list Prescription medicines, supplements and known allergies.
Your questions A short list of what you want clarified during the consultation.
